Notifying Envoy of New Retirement Plan Participants To Be Enrolled
When one of your Christian Ministry Professionals (CMPs - your employees) becomes eligible to participate in the Retirement Program, or chooses to participate on a voluntary only (elective deferral) basis upon hire, please complete the form on this page. (If your plan includes an Automatic Enrollment feature, this notification process does not apply to you and you do not need to complete this form.)
Once Envoy Financial has received this information, the following steps will be taken:
- A record will be established in Envoy Financial’s information system.
- Envoy Financial will establish contact with the CMP.
- A telephone enrollment appointment will be scheduled and completed.
- Enrollment paperwork will be sent to the participant for review and signatures.
- Envoy Financial will receive the signed enrollment paperwork back from the CMP.
- Envoy Financial will establish the participant's 403(b) or 401(k) account on your ministry's retirement plan platform.
- Envoy Financial will email the signed Salary Agreement back to your ministry for payroll purposes.
The returned signed Salary Agreement is the final stage in the enrollment process. This is your “green light” to start the CMP’s salary reduction and subsequent contributions into the plan. Do not send in contributions to the investment company for this CMP prior to receiving the signed Salary Agreement.
